Ben Calianga is a digital creative specializing in Sports Communications. With expertise in marketing strategy, social media, photography, videography, game statistics, and journalism. Proficient in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere, he currently serves as the Assistant Director of Athletics Communications at Gordon College.

In the spring of 2024, Ben interned at Zero Gravity Basketball as the Associate Regional Director for New England.

From the fall of 2023 through early 2024, he worked as a freelance photographer for individual clients, New England Sports Photography, and MaxPreps.

Between 2021 and 2023, Ben was Gordon College Athletics' lead photographer and videographer. His most notable assignment was capturing the team's journey during their 2023 American Collegiate Rowing Association National Championship victory.

In the spring of 2023, he held two internships: as Creative Director for Gordon Track & Field and as an intern for the Sports Information Director at Gordon. At Gordon Track & Field, he produced a short documentary highlighting the team’s impact on individual athletes. Under the Sports Information Director, he developed the “Why D3” campaign.

During the summers of 2022 and 2024, he was the photographer and videographer for the award-winning La Vida Adventure Camp, a summer camp for kids on the North Shore of Boston. In this role, he collaborated closely with counselors and campers to capture the essence of each activity.

Ben is driven by a creative passion for connecting with people and communities, believing everyone has impactful stories worth telling.

He is originally from Central Massachusetts and holds a B.A. in Communication Arts from Gordon College.
